First pick of the litter Psyche was in went to a married couple. Now the marriage is ending and they're thinking she'll have to be rehomed. I've never met her so don't really know much, but the "breeder" was in contact with me today about it.

I don't need another border collie... especially not Psyche's sister... :p

ETA: I know that she's a little over two, was born the first week of October, and that she looks "like a pure bred border collie".

You do need Psyche's sister! I know if I ran into Rosco's sibling and he fit what I wanted in a dog I would have to take him, even tho I just got a new dog.

They're not 100% sure she'll be rehomed yet, but I'm first to know if she is going to be. I might be able to talk mom into letting me foster her, and maybe talk dad into keeping her as his dog, but *I* do not need a dog right now, unless it's a GSD puppy, from my breeder of choice. But I'm hoping Psyche will have put out a good enough rep that I'll be able to find someone for her without having to foster.

Aww, I would love a Psyche sister. I know they're part border collie, what's the other part?

The other part is Lab. The father, though, is a really really nice border collie. I honestly don't know how he got in her hands. He has SO much natural desire to work and herd. I had him sending out 20 feet from me in 20 mins when I first met him. So smart, and he kept herding their turkeys over to me.

We could totally get her to Arizona. :p

Yup, she's half border collie, half lab. Honestly, though, I just tell people she's border collie, and if they ask about a breeder, I tell them she's half lab. But for the most part, people come up to me and say "Oh, she's a border collie, right?" so I just go along with it. :p If I didn't know her background, I'd think she was pure.

I know how you feel. A few months ago Fudge's sister was up for rehoming and I wanted her sooo badly!! But the parents thought that six dogs is far too many. Plus this dog has lived outside most of it's life and recieved very little training so it wouldn't be fair to the dog because she would have to be crated a lot of the time. Not to mention we already have one queen bitch and we don't need another one! :lol-sign:

Millie's a BC/lab, too. :D Her coat is like a lab, the pattern is like a BC, her size and structure is like a BC, and her personality is mostly BC, but she doesn't have the BC stare.

Psyche has the lab head and ears, but just about everything else is border collie. She stares when she's really into it, and even teeth chatters at the start line for agility.

I do hope she can stay with her home. I can't imagine having had her since a puppy and having to rehome her now, when the pups from that litter are all at prime age. Psyche is like the PERFECT dog right now. Active, very active, but will lay down when I need her too, willing, and completely devoted to me.
