My 7 month old yorkie has been limping on his back leg a little for about 2 months. xrays do not show anything, but we are going to do them again in 3-6 months and see how they look. I was wondering if anyone has used this and if maybe the joint supplement in it will help his leg. Thanks
I've used it before, my dogs liked it. It was a little expensive though. Especially considering I have 3 large dogs. If your wanting a joint supplement like gluocosamine (sp? think that's a butchered word) I'd go with the tablets you can buy. Maybe something like synflex would work?
I used it with Ilsa, but I never really noticed a difference. For any joint problems, I'd try a product specifically made for joints first (like Cosequin, or Synflex) before a general supplement.
I have never tried missing link, but I have had excellent results with Liquid health and ENP liquid glucosamine formulas. They are a godsend for JJ and his arthritis and bone spurs. You may want to consider these products and with the liquid it is nice because I just mix it right in with the food.
I'm a flexicose person myself. I can't recommend it highly enough. It's done wonders for Hannah's back and neck. Never tried the missing link though, so I can't really give an experience on that. Don't know anyone who uses it either.
I use HylaSport Canine for Meg; she has an old elbow injury, and I use it as a preventative (or, to be honest, to make myself feel better). The company is absolutely phenomenal to deal with; better customer service than I've ever seen. Their reputation for horse products is very good; the dog supplement is a bit newer, so I haven't heard much other than the reviews on the site. Meg eats it happily, and I like that it is flax based.
