The first clippers listed on the page are what I'm referring to.

I'm pretty good at cutting before the quick, but these look pretty nifty. I generally don't like guillotine style clippers, but If someone told me they worked and are pretty accurate I'd like to give it a try. Hopefully get the nails as short as possible..

Anyone with any experience with these?

Interesting... my sister's shelties both have really long (because she never cuts them) nails and I hate trying to trim them for her. They're so long and so dark it's a lot of guesswork. Kind of expensive, especially to use on dogs that aren't mine, but I do wonder if they work...

i've never tried those clippers but i feel its best to get nails clipped by the vet. in case you do plan to clip them at home, be careful not to over do it. generally dogs nails get filed naturally by walking on rough roads etc. also, its best to clip nails right after a bath while they're still soft

The problem I see with those is they are the guillotine form of nail clippers. I am a groomer and I don't recommend them because if the dog jerks it is easier to actually rip the entire nail out. If you have a very still dog then you could probably use them safely though.

I used to use this style clipper--worked ok, but I actually prefer one like the second picture on that page. The guillotine style did not hold up to my labs nails.

LOL neat.. but strange..

I wonder how the "sensor" in them works..

It'd be great for people with black nailed dogs..

I love my dremel... SOO much easier.

Riot is so used to it now, whenever I finish one paw, he'll lift the next one up lol

Just got them into Petco and will never go back to these types sensor or not.

But look at where the sensor is on the dam bottom so to me
I would need to see something to clip.

I will never trust a gadget over logic from your own eye.

Anyone who tries these please have Nik Stop handy.

I haev 4 clippers all different size.
That clippers is too big for most of our clients dogs.

Whoaaaa... coooolllll... IF it works, that is. Too bad it would be useless on 66.66666% of my dogs.

Besides, I'm a Dremel Worshipper. (that sounds a bit like devil worshipper... hm I jsut realized that...)
