Well.. i've bought the "indestructable" toys for Riot.. apparently they ARE desctructable.. RIPPED TO BITS!! lol

Riot goes through tennis balls like they are going outta style,
he rips Jada and Crosbys new toys up in a matter of hours (rope toys, stuffed toys, squeaky toys, kongs, rollatreats, etc.)

The ONLY toys that Riot doesn't go through in a day are the ones that I buy him lol he keeps them and just chews on them or throws them around lol

Hes got that HUGE stuffed bone that he still just carrys around and hes got a little red squeaky reindeer that is his baby lol Its only missing one antler so far and that one is from Christmas. Its his favourite toy. I can ask, wheres your reindeer and he'll bring it up to me lol.

I just recently bought him this oversized tennis ball that squeeks and he LOVES IT.. its ... sooo... loud.. though! lol

Anyone else need to buy toys every few days lol

That sounds like my dog, Zac hehe.

He is a golden and he is a major chewer. He is a large golden, 100 lbs, and he has a big mouth, lol.

He loves tennis balls too, and he will chew the hell out of everything. But does not ever touch my stuff thank goodness! He is such a good boy now. As a puppy, yeah he ate ALL my stuff. So glad thats over... hehehe

The only things he cannot chew are kongs, and of course he doesn't like them much. I fill it with peanut butter and he licks it for quite a while but doesn't really chew it. I got him a tire toy but he hates that as well, cuz he can't wreck it.

His absolute favorite is a role of toilot paper. Its cheap, and he loves shredding it. lol...

We can go through a tennis ball a walk! Once she gets it, she has to 'pop' it. So we have changed to solid rubber dog ball. It is a bit bigger to, so no chance of her swallowing it :D

She isn't much of a chewer, thank god!!

My lab likes to kill tennis balls. She rips off all the fuzz and then pops them. She and my terrier mix love to pop holes in frisbees. They also like to tear pieces of string off of the tug-o-war toy. My border collie mix isn't much of a "toy dog".

I just don't buy toys anymore. Boris was ok with most of them (except the stuffed kinds), but Tips destroys everything. The only things they still have are nylabones and stuffed bones also. It just wasn't worth it.

all of my dogs have had to "learn" not to shred their toys...starts out with ohoh no look at what you did..then it is put up on top of the fridge for repair..sometimes nonono and we watch as it goes in the trash. It takes about three week.

no toys here except one rope toy that Addie hides. Ham has no interest...he only wants to play catch outside (and I put the ball away after or it would be trashed) if I tried to give them a stuffed toy, they'd look at me like I was nuts. I always imagine Hammie would sound like Forrest Gump...saying 'now, what am I supposed to do with that???' :)

Toys...

I think it has been posted before, but plastic soda bottle with some water in it makes a great outside toy. My dog liked to fetch, chase and chew them. If they get worn out just get a new one.:)

Sammie loves to skin tennis balls.. her favorite obsession is still chewing stuff that she isn't supposed to though :(

The one dog toy that we have had for many months and that is still in tact is a big rope with two knots in it. Everything else is chewed to bits in days.

George loves to toss and shake his toys. He prefers stuffed animals, but it'll take him about 45 min or so and stuffing is leaking. He has so much fun with them though I hate to take them away permenantly. So, he gets one every once in a while, wait 'till the stuffing leaks, then I put it up to repair it. Repeat every month or so.

We try and stick with chew things for him so that it is okay if he 'rips' it apart.

He also liked the rope bone we got him, that did last a week or so before he had it so destroyed that string was coming off and then it became a hazzard.

My mom's dog, Sarah, on the other hand, has the softest mouth. She loves her 'babies'. Her favoriate is a pink, shapless, bunny. She's had it for years and the only punctures are from Mick (another dog), she just carries it around in her mouth and holds it and loves it.

Last night, at my parents, we gave George a toy and Sarah a toy. Sarah would take hers, lay down, realize that George had one too, put hers down, get up and try and take George's away. She'd get George's toy, George would turn around and take the other one. Too funny... We took them both away when it became a tug a war between them. poor sarah, she was just trying to protect her toys. :(

I have to buy a couple of toys very often and Chloe still is a puppy and has puppy teeth. Especially the stuffed ones and the soft plastic ones.

Only "chew" toys that last Dakota longer than a week are the orbeetuff ones from www.planetdog.com . Nylabones are shredded in a matter of an hour (sometimes less if it's not a "souper" sized one) and I never give him the super hard plastic ones because they're hard on his teeth. Raw beef knuckle and leg bones are great for him to chew on but there's no way I'm going to let him chew one of those on the carpet

There are toys that he isn't allowed to chew on, just retrieve and squeak (stuffed toys, tennis balls, frisbees etc) and Ripley's toys are completely off-limits. If he doesn't have to open his mouth wide to pick it up, he isn't allowed to touch it.

The Orbees see some heavy duty from Shiva, but they do last very well. The only problem with them is Kharma . . . she doesn't want to play with them, but Shiva loves them, so Kharma steals them and hides them

Hannah destroys ALL of her toys! She gets the soft squeaky toys and she rips them up to get to the squeaker inside (we used to go through 3-4 of those toys a week and at $6 a toy it was TOO expensive). We can't use tennis balls anymore because she pulls the skin off and then chews them in half and we'd go through about 6 tennis balls a day. Her and Foxy completely destroy the tug toys, although it was only 80 cents at Wal-mart but even the booda ones they have destroyed in about 2 hours. We have to give her these balls http://www.petsmart.com/global/prod...005089&itemNo=90&Nao=84&In=Dog&N=2026207&Ne=2 and we get the largest size we can find. She can still catch it and carry it but it's harder for her to destroy. That ball can last her about 2 weeks, only a couple days if we leave it out. Retrieving is about all Hannah likes to play too, she doesn't really play tug a war with us (only Foxy) and she doesn't like frisbees, she likes to catch balls and that's about it.

Zeus isn't much of a toy dog. His idea of fun is to zoom madly around the yard like an out-of-control furry Nascar.

But if Zeus doesn't have chewies...oh, there is a crisis. He likes to chew and knows he's only allowed to chew on his chew-bones. But if he can't find a chewie when he needs one, he'll start whimpering. So it's off to Petco..

Yep...Chyna is a toy killer too. Muttlies....you doggy toy box looks just like hers. :D
I have a nice pile of ripped but repairable stuffies hidden away but somehow I know I am never going to sew them.
It gets so expensive but like someone else said about their dog...she's spoiled and she does love her stuffies.
