I don't know what's wrong with me lately, but I have become 100% dog food obsessed! I can't stop thinking about dog food. I am embarrased to admit it, but it actually keeps me awake at night LOL!!! I spend hours a day online reading ingredient lists. There aren't really any foods that I have gotten really poor results with, but I always think there could be something better so I keep switching. Problem is, is that I don't keep them on a food long enough to even tell if it made a difference or not. Luckily my dogs don't get digestive upset from switching, and I know variety is good for them, but why can't I find a food that blows me away? I am on the verge of cooking for them because nothing is good enough in my mind. I am trying to avoid the hassle of cooking for 4 dogs and my family though LOL! I have tried Innova, Innova EVO, Canidae, Eagle Pack, California Natural, Timberwold Organics...oh how the list goes on. Oh well, maybe admitting I have the problem is the first step to recovery, right:confused:

I'm the same way and I too have layed awake at night thinking of the next kibble I should try. LOL

It's to the point that the pet food store I frequent won't even suggest foods for me anymore because I always find an ingredient that I don't like. :lol-sign: I've been told I am the most picky customer she's had. hahaha

People at work call me the "food snob" because I'm always reading ingredient lists and moaning about the poor quality of just about everything that clients feed their dogs.

So, yes.

Do you work at a vet clinic? I worked in a clinic for 5 years. I would go crazy with the pushing of the Science Diet and having to hear all the crap that clients would feed. I will never forget the time I was in the exam room with some clients and their dog. The dog was obese, had a horrible odor and practically no hair on it's back. They were feeding Pedigree. I told them that his diet needed to be improved and that would help a lot of his health problems. They looked at me with a blank stare and said "look at him, he's fine and he's been on Pedigree his whole life." I was so amazed that they thought their dog was in good condition. I didn't even know where to start, it was like talking to a wall:confused:

Obsessed enough to make a website about it and dedicate between 2 and 10 hours of work per day to the topic, even though I don't feed my own dog commercial food anymore (with the exception of some treats and road trip rations). lol

To date, I have gotten five people to switch to Natural Balance (the best-quality food available in our area). Four were total strangers that I just started talking to at Petco when I saw what they were buying.

While I don't think I'm *quite* as obsessed as some of the members here, I'm bad enough to make me blush, LOL.

LOL! I haven't taken that step yet, but you don't know how often I have wanted to. I can't stand it when I see people buying crappy dog food. I just love it when I see that big old bag of Pedigree dangling out the side of their shopping cart:yikes: ;)

I know exactly how you feel, I am the same way. Everyone thinks I'm crazy, lol, because I care so much about what I feed my dogs.
We are actually going with a raw diet now, along with Timberwolf Organics. I am actually really happy with what I'm feeding now. I've switched between foods many times.

What TWO formula do you feed? Are you happy with skin and coat? Do your dogs poop a lot? I tried TWO once and my dogs had huge poop LOL!:yikes: I fed the Dakota Bison.

I am very happy with the TWO- it is the one food I found that I've had great results with. We switch between varieties, but I like the Dakota Bison the best. My dogs poop about twice a day; small, dark, odorless stools. I've noticed a huge change in their coats since switching, they are so soft and shiny.
That is really surprising that it didn't work out with your dogs, I haven't heard anything bad about it yet from anyone. My dogs were really sick from the Wilderness Elk formula... but have done great on the others I've tried.

Have you tried Wild & Natural? If so, what did you think?

I can't try Wild & Natural because one of my dog's has an allergy to chicken... so I rotate between the bison, lamb & apples, & lamb & venison. I haven't tried the Ocean Blue formula yet either. I've heard lots of good things about the Wild & Natural, though... it is supposedly very palatable as well.

I know, I completely agree! I just want to walk around and pass out cards with dogfoodproject.com printed on them to all of the people with nasty foods in their shopping carts.
