anybody live in florida???

if you havnt evacuated, whats going on? how bad is it? this is why I dont want to live in florida. if it wasnt for the hurricanes I'd want to live there.

I have a friend who lives in Florida....and another who lives near where I am but usually vacations in Florida...I've been praying for everyone down there that they're safe. There's no way I'd ever move to Florida...if I wanted somewhere sunny, I'd move to South Carolina...inland...I've got relatives there too.

I'm in Florida. Our city doesn't have to evacuate because the hurricane is only passing here lightly. Just a lot of rain and some wind. Last year wasn't as bad as they made it look too.

I meant it wasn't as bad in my area. I live on the very outskirts of Miami.

I was in NC for Hugo years ago and we only got the very edge of the storm. Saw the aftermath of Hugo to Myrtle Beach SC 2 years after.

Ill stick to earthquakes, there arent as many to deal with and most arent that powerfull and dont last that long.

BL...glad you cleared that up....my friends were in Ft. Myers, Punta Gorda and Sanibel Island. Horrible !
