**A LITTLE LONG**I know, I know, it's still 52 days til christmas!! But I can't wait! I love Christmas with all my heart. And not because of presents, I mean presents are nice and all, and I do think that christmas is way over commercialized, but I just love when it's dark out but everything's all lit up by christmas lights, and you can see peoples' christmas trees in their houses at night, and they play christmas music in the stores! I also love wrapping presents. And putting up the christmas trees on December 1st! I CAN'T WAIT!!!! Every year we put up this HUGE village of those little porcelain houses and people and whatnot that we've had since I was 4, and it takes up the whole front window plus a 10 foot long shelf that me and my mom made to hold the rest of it! I just love the christmas spirit. Christmas has always been special to me since we have such a big family.(my mom has 11 brothers and sisters, and my dad has 6) Usually everyone comes over for a big christmas dinner. I love getting to see all my relatives since that's the only time we see them. I also love getting to make crazy presents for my friends, we have a rule that since none of us have any money to spare for christmas presents(I quit my job finally), we make presents for eachother. It's so fun to do! I can't wait to make christmas cookies! Oh, who am I kidding, I made some 2 weeks ago while listening to Bing Crosby and Engelbert Humperdinck christmas songs!!!

Does anybody love christmas as much as I do? Or am I just a crazy nut? Most people at school think I'm crazy because I know how many days until!

I'm excited because this year I actually get to see my family during Christmas! Last couple of years I've had to work and they were out of town. But everyone is coming to our house, so we'll actually be decorating and having a good tree and everything. Can't wait for the food!

I get excited about it early too. But then when it gets closer things just get so hectic that it starts to suck. I like Christmas shopping except if I'm shopping for someone and don't know what to get them.

Acutally, I have to say that I'm not very excited about Christmas at all this year. I get really tired of all of the commercialism, and how much money it all costs. The true meaning of Christmas is often not recognized anymore. I work in a hospital also, and I see so much poverty and sadness at this time of the year. I used to adore the holiday season, but I don't so much anymore. Just being honest here!:)

I LOVE Christmas!!! I decorate the day after Thanksgiving. I love the beauty of the lights, the smell of baking cookies, the good spirits of everyone. it doesn't have to be expensive, that's allowing yourself to bend to marketing pressure. :) it is just wonderful to be with family. we are having snow showers tonight.....yep...found myself humming 'the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful'. LOL I can't wait...so I'm crazy right along with you. :)

My grandpa died on Christmas day in 1998, and I have never really been in the Christmas spirit since.

Since I have been with Rob, Christmas has been so much better for me! These past two Christmas's has been the best with him by my side!! We put up a tree, make cookies, sing Christmas songs together, go to McAdenville (Christmas Town, USA!).

The day before Christmas eve will mark one year since we have gotten Kona :) Such a special time for everyone! I still think about my grandpa, but with Rob and my boys, I hardly think of the bad times anymore :)

I adore Christmas. My favorite holiday and time of year. :) Even though it's the commericalized part of Christmas, I love the trees and the decorations and the lights. I mostly love the spirit and the cheer. I love the Christmas music, and I love seeing family. My parents are divorced and there are so many different groups of family I'm quite stretched, but I love it all the same.
This year I want to be low-key, though I can't wait. I love Christmas shopping. I'm always short on cash but I do the best I can with things and I make things a lot for people. I have a lot of knitting supplies that I got for my birthday, and my grandmother is going to teach me to knit so I can make things for people.

Sometimes my Christmas spirit can be ruined when I think of how some people are homeless and cold and. . . I just start thinking about sad things. *shakes head*

I always feel bad for the kids who don't get visited by Santa, and the adults who are less fortunate than us, so last year we secretly dropped of presents to a need family we know that couldn't afford christmas. The little kids were so happy. We also donated money to a local homeless shelter. This year I also want to give some stuff to the local spca. (more than I do regularly) They're always in dire need of food and supplies.
But I'm glad that I'm not the only one who is really excited about christmas!!!!

I'm the same way right now. My mom passed a few years ago and it's still really hard for me to deal with. I'm hoping things start getting easier soon.
Haven't really been into the Christmas spirit.

I'm always excited for Christmas come mid October. I love Christmas. it's definitely my most favourite time of the year (unless I'm shopping). I don't really know why, but it always has been.

Same for me...my mom died a few years ago, and often my daughter doesn't get to come home for Christmas. Maybe that's part of what's wrong with me to!:(

Having had over 7 decades of the Christmas season it's a bitter sweet time for me . I miss as a child going into the Quebec country side to cut our tree on Christmas day eve ... it was always " wild ", smelled so good and up until January 8th . I loved decorating our house as a young mother and planning those magical moments for the children . I loved planning for the annual family get together when the kids would come " back home " . When we moved here .... I went to a tabletop tree ... but decorated it with miniatures collected for years . Gone are the large bulbs and hand blown balls of yore . ( I've saved one of every era and hang it on my ficus tree.) I'm blessed to have 2/3 s of my kids near by , and to see Nash's Christmas joys. Yes, I love Christmas .......... just not before Thanksgiving !!

i LOVE christmas. i know i am a materialsitic person, and i know i love the present, i love getting free stuff and its greedy and i hate that of myself but its true, but i love everyhting about christmas. i love that mum won't let us play christmas music till late november/early december then we play it REALLY loud all day everyday. i love that thet whole house smells like tinsel and dum tree. i love that the presents explode from under th tree and i love that santa still visits.
i'm glad its just me, grace and mum. its a funner christmas this way. i just wish my brother was here.
i love that the whole day is just easy, no visiting 100 relatives because there are none here
i love waking up and it being dark, checking to see if my santa bag is full then going back to bed, waiting for light then running in and waking up grace and mum.lol

and for the people that have lost loved ones on christmas. i always see this as those people holding on to give everyone else that one special day. my poppy dies at 2am on my sisters birthday. she still egts pretty sad abtou it but i think of it as him just hanging on so he could be there for one more brthday. how bad would her birthday be if he died the day before? she coudln't even share one more birthday witth him. so your family just wantss to give you taht one last special day in my opinion <hugs>

and for the people that have lost loved ones at other times of the year... this is what my mum told me about my poppy and nanny and great aunt.

"remember, there still here. They are just in another room."
