I was wondering if some of yall could share some tuff toys besides the Kong. My 7 month old Pup doesnt show interest in it but he loves other toys. I just cant find ones that last! I went to PetSmart today and spent $15 on this 3 ring chew toy made of durable "long lasting" rubber. He has literally had it less than 20 minutes and one of the rings is chewed in half. Im half tempted to take it back, I cant beleive I spent $15 on a toy that lasted no longer than that. Any ideas?

have you guys tried the jolly ball Its made of durable plastic and it has another ball inside it. My husky loves to destroy toys and she has had this for months and loves it and its still in one piece it was only like 12 bucks i think they have them at petsmart I think.

Yeah I think im done with PetSmart Toys. $15 is too much to pay for something that wont last. Im gonna attempt to take it back tomorrow, but I doubt they'll refund it. Im thinking about going to an outdoor store and getting some of those duck training and retreiver dummies to see if they last.

I was quite suprised today when PetSmart refunded my money....really didnt expect it. Ace is now enjoying a new "retriever dummy" which seems to be holding up well, and a dove decoy. I think the cat is trying to figure out how the dog got a bird when hes been sitting at the door for years tryig to figure out how to get one LOL

My friend has APBT and when they were teething she would actually go to home depot and buy some rope (the kind that is just like the stuff at petsmart) cut and tie her own knots and it came out alot cheaper than buying a new one every other day. Also if you have some woody areas near you see if you can find a good stick (one that isn't rotten or filled with bugs) wash it and let 'em at it :) Also I find the toys made of that thick "tire" rubber, like the wheel with the rope tied at the end can last a little longer or the firehose toys. The stuffing goes quick out of those but the cloth will last a while

i currently have a ball on a rope, which has survived two working line GSD's and two working line malinois over the course of about five years.

i am trying to find another one, and for the life of me i don't remember where i bought it. it is only now beginning to show wear, and it is minimal. tooth punctures that i think will soon weaken and break it.

so while i don't think any toys are indestructable, unless your dog enjoys playing with steel pipes :yikes: some are more durable than others.

Finally, I was able to find this somewhere on line. I've had one of these for years. It's survived my australian shepherd, all of my danes, and various other dogs that have been over and played with it (Including two mastiffs that were MURDER on toys).

It's truly the only toy my dogs have never been able to destroy.....

You can order it from the Jeffers catalogue for a few bucks cheaper than the site above...

I know what you mean about going through toys. We are on our second puppy kong. Our dog (lab/chow/dingo/mix???) is a toy distroyer. I found a tennis ball dumbell looking toy and aside from the squeaker only lasting a few minutes... she gets lots of pleasure out of it and it is holding up well. I got it at petsupermarket... not sure of brand, but know that tennis material is stronger when made for dogs. Good luck!

Have you tried a Nylabone Galileo? Your dog could NOT destroy it. I have some here from over 5 years ago and they have been through some very strong, aggressive chewers that destroyed everything else (not my pugs, lol)

Me and my dad went shopping to Walmart one night and while we were at the checkout, my dad decided to get Sugar a new toy from a cheap clearance bin. We looked through it, trying to look for a tough, longlasting unique one. We ended up getting her a tough, yet soft salmon-colored teapot with a rope for a spout. The thing has been Sugars fav toy, and still in one piece! She is notorious for making short work out of all the toys we had gotten her, but this one still exists. The name brand symbol is too dirty and ripped on it to read, but I think it said something similar to "summerland." Im not sure, but that thing has been through more then I thought was possible for a dog toy to survive.

In a word: NO. The kong is the only "toy" Zoe has not destroyed in a matter of minutes.

Showpug-- Sorry, Zoe desimated the Nyla Bone in one afternoon.

Was it a Galileo?

Nylabone makes different bones for different chewers. We only buy the durable kind, but they aren't even as tough as the Galileos.
I second that question!!!!!!!!! A Galileo isn't the same as a nylabone...it's like equivalent to cement.:)
