Awesome! I think the only indoor events here are Ottawa, which is a five hour drive. Boo!
As for membership, can someone explain how it works as far as dock dogs, dog dogs Canada and dock dogs Ontario? Do I need three separate memberships?
You can have two different types of membership. World Wide membership and Club membership. World Wide is for National events meaning you earn National titles and DD themselves put on the event, versus a Club event where you earn Club titles and the club does most of the event work.
DD Canada is just a name, it's just like DD Australia and DD England/Europe. These are still part of the DD World Wide membership program.
World Wide is what everyone purchases if they want their dog's jumps to count toward a title (National AND Club), going to a Regional Championship, and/or, a World Championship invite.
Club membership would be a club (probably like DD Ontario). Here we have clubs like Dixie DD, Delta DD, Palmetto DD, etc. These are all clubs that you can purchase membership to be a part of so you can attend their free practices, shirts, emails, meetings, etc. You do NOT have to be part of a club to get a club title.
