If so what tribes? Do you have a CDIB card or no?

I am part blackfoot and cherokee but do not have a card.

Madison and lily are many different tribes. Mostly cherokee and kiowa. Their grandmother is 100% indian.

I went in to get them registered with the cherokee indians here in oklahoma but they are making it complicated. They said I do not have the right birth certificates. They say they are county certificates and they need state certificates. Well, I didnt know there were TWO different kinds . I called WA state and they told me that I DO have the right ones, so now I have to go back and prove that I have the right ones. Its just ridiculous.

Here in oklahoma they have awesome benefits for native americans. They will help you buy a house and your payments will be decided depending on your income. They will even build you a house. One of my family members bought a beautiful 3 bedroom brick house on one acre and they pay 70 bucks a month. Its crazy. And they didnt even do a credit check .

I'm partially Chickashaw but no... no card so I don't get anything. My grandmother is half and was born in Chickashaw (the town) I don't look a lick Chickashaw, I look white. I'd have problems taking the benefits anyways (just from a moral standpoint)

My cousin is even more Native American than I am and looks it even less. I think he's 1/4 Cherokee, his mom is half. I think it's Cherokee anyways....

I have native american coming from all directions, but I have curly hair... just weird. I have cherokee, blackfoot, osage, and a few others in my heritage. We did research and my 4th great grandfather was a chief of a cherokee tribe... very interesting. The white came in when he kidnapped a woman and the story says they fell in love. (hope that's true). My great grandmother is still alive and she looks native american 100%. Her mother was cherokee and her father was 1/2 blackfoot. I do not think I qualify for any type of assistance though. I do know that in Louisiana you have to be at least 1/16 native american get to native american grants to go to school.

My grandpa was 100% piegan blackfoot, but he died and my dad was adopted so my dad never got registered. I don't know if we can or not, we have cousins on the reserve in Alberta but I have never met them.

I consider myself Caucasian. Not enough Indian blood. Though madison and lily are native american on their birth certificates.

I'm 1/8th Iroquois. No card, no proof. I'd love to have proof, for scholarship purposes and other reasons it might be useful. It's the closest to heritage or religion I have, I can cite most of the native american commandments (in english :() and know my relatives names and meanings.

I have enough Abenaki blood from my mother's side that I was able to get a card. I've never used it for anything other than a second form of ID. Actually, that's not totally true. I tried to use it to get a free fishing license years ago, but hadn't read the fine print enough, and apparently the free fishing only applies to tribal land.

I still consider myself Caucasian.

Ugh I realized I spelled Chickasaw wrong. I always get the town and the tribe spelling confused so I combined them. I'm part Chickasaw and my grandmother was born in Chickasha. >.<

Confusing.
