Precious has her first one. Not just her first one this summer, but her first one ever! I got all the matted hair and weepy skin off today. She didn't enjoy it, but I wanted it to be able to breathe a little bit. Taking her to work tomorrow to get some spray and get it cleaned well. Have ya'll seen any yet this year?

Not yet. Dante is very allergic to fleas so this year I started his seasonal Advantage a month earlier.

By the way, 50/50 Apple Cider Vinegar/Water sprayed on the hotspot is what worked best for Dante. Just make sure it's organic ACV.

Yes, my dogs have had a couple hot spots this year. What I have found works best is Gold Bond Medicated body powder. It dries the hotspot up really fast. It doesn't have to be the Gold Bond brand, the off brand works just as well.
Another thing is Hydrogen Peroxide. This helps get rid of infection if there is any.

None here! I've been lucky with my crew and only had one case ever with a hot spot and that was cause by a mosquito or black fly bite.
