I'm house-sitting/baby-sitting/dog-sitting for my friend until thursday. Well she asked me (they know I'm a dog person lol) if I knew why their dog did something. Their dog would find any wet, white towel (or anything that was white and wet) whether it be lying on the ground, in the bathroom, or in the laundry and pick it up and put it on their bed. They where just wondering if I knew any reason why she would do this and really I have no clue! The only possible reason I could think of was her previous owner (was a rescue dog) trained her to do this for some reason. I just don't know why they would train for that.

Anyone have any idea's why the dog would do that?

Lol! That's an odd one!! I think it's one of those things that makes perfect sense to dogs, but just not to us! Like for example... Why does Gus insist on nibbling quilts??

Maybe she/he's a bed wetter! :p

LOL The worst of it is when she grabs towels that have been used to soak up the water of an overflown toilet! ICK! lol

It's just one of those things that make her her I guess lol

What kind of dog is she? I knew someone once who trained his golden to duck hunt with towels. Nickie (the dog) was never without a towel.

I'm not sure. She is some kind of mix.......I really don't know though. She kind of seems familiar but I can't put my finger on it. Let me see if I can find a pic though....she is a smaller dog. definetly not a golden or hunting dog.

This is her....

She is actually larger then she seems in the photo.

Maybe she thinks anything wet is "in trouble" or should be placed where it can be seen cause it should be dry (or washed). :)

Maybe she's trying to tell them she's bored and wants a job in the hotel industry? "Room service, you need fluff pillow?"

Maybe she was a man in a former life, because they ALWAYS seem to leave a wet towel on the bed, and you only find it when you want to get into bed.... and suprise, suprise.. the bed is all damp! :p
