Is Aden pronounced Aidan? I like that name.

I like Tristan and NOT because of any of the movies.

my nephew's name is Tristan:(. I like that name too though (but they picked it because of the movie). Yeah I think it's pronounced and spelled Aidan, well I'm sure you could spell it Aden but I found it spelled as Aidan.

I have three girls as you all know. With each pregnacy, I vowed to call the boy Adam. Adam Paul to be exact (my dad and brother are both Pauls) Melissa's name was totally out of the blue, Tony didn't want her to be known as Missy and she isn't at all. We have baby names for her such as Emmy, Melis, Sweet Pea (she hates that); but nobody refers to her as Missy.

I have friends that have an Aiden and Chase (getting popular as the name Taylor did 12 years ago). I know a few Kenneths that I don't like so I might be biased.

I'd go with Adam :D Adam Duan sounds good!

I think Riley Hunter would be a really cool name...it's different and sounds nice too. Or Daemyn...Macario, Lane, Lani, Raanan, Radley, Alair.

Do you have a criteria for names?
Trendy, popular, classic, unusual etc...

Aiden and Ethan are in the top 3/5 most popular names for boys in 05.

I remember a Kenneth in High School. Never went by Kenny.

In this day and age i'd stay away from Kenny 'cause of the South Park reference (unless you are a fan or live somewhere where it is unknown.)

Maybe some names that have NN choices?
Joseph
Jonathan
Christopher
Anthony
Alan
Marcus
Dakota
Austin
Edward
Charles

Would it help if you and your husband write down a list of names (seperatley) that you could go over together and install a new 'rule', he/you can't veto without a reason and a real suggestion.

Having said all that, Family names with meaning are powerful things. If the name Kenneth means A LOT then use it. Ken is a good strong NN.

Maybe use the letters to find another name or another name that starts with K or use their Middle Names to find a First Name. Something along those lines might help as well.
Good Luck

Thanks! Mark is a slow reader but he has been going through the posts and writing down a few of his favorites and I'm going to do the same thing then we're going to compare and see what we come up with. We MAY stick with Kenneth but who knows, I guess noone will know until his birth certificate is filled out. I'll keep ya posted, and maybe have a vote on names once we pick our favorites.
