Well, I woke up at 4 am this morning to some of my 6 foot fencing being torn down by the strong winds (120kms/h or 75miles). My husband and I went out to investigate and save as much as we could. Luckily we only lost 3 8 foot pannels. We lost several shingles on our roof, and our outdoor light was broken. Lots of my province is without power right now- luckily we still have ours!!

The waves were spectacular!! They were predicting that the waves would reach 12 metres high!

Yes, not too bad though (yesterday, it all blew over).

Freezing, pouring rain, and wind like you wouldn't believe.

We just had some wind, and nothing like what was predicted. We've had stronger winds with passing thunder storms.

We thought that we wouldn't see much of the storm either...we were wrong! My MIL won't have her power restored for a few days because of all of the downed trees.

Yeah, being in Kansas it's safe to assume that no hurricane will ever make it up here.
