Once they get going on it, the inside has a smell. Nothing major (like a bully) but if you stick your nose up to it, it stinks a bit lol. Hopefully just enough that your dog will want it, and not enough for you to smell it :)

I'm not sure what kind of antlers those are, but my dogs used to bring home shed deer antlers when we lived on the farm, and they had no scent at all. It was like chewing on a big stick or nylabone, which the dogs liked, but it didn't hold their interest like a knuckle bone would've.

Eve gets knuckle bones. Like Elegy said, yes they can crack teeth on those bones. My dog has yet to, but she doesn't bear down on the bone with unholy force. Usually I buy 4-5 knuckle bones at a time and let her work on one in her crate. Once it's been picked clean she can take it out of the crate and onto the floor. Eventually they dry up completely and are a good, relatively clean chew. The fresh knuckle bones are very high-value, even a frozen one will keep Eve's attention for hours until she's picked it completely clean and is too tired to keep chewing.
