The past few days, Brinley hasnt been eating as much. We usually feed her between a cup and a cup and a half of food a day split between 4 feedings. the past few days we have been lucky she has eaten 3/4 of a cup?

I have been handfeeding her when she wont finish her bowl, but I dont want her to get in the habit of this, because she should eat on her own.

Why would this be?

Have you been giving her treats too? For a while it seemed Toby wasn't hardly eating his food. Then we realized that between the two of us we had been giving him way too many treats. Just an idea.

Also you said in your other thread she may have kennel cough? She may just be feeling icky then and doesn't want to eat much.

Well we took het to the Vet yesterday and he said she isnt eating cause we are feeding her too much!!!!

According to the bag of food it says we should be feeding her a cup to a cup and a half a day, so we were. The doc said she shouldnt be getting more than .5 to .75 cups a day. No wonder she is gatting a little potbelly and gained 1.5 lbs in 10 days. (thats a lot for a pup her size, she is now 7.2 lbs)
