She has a really lean body and huge tipped ears. No setter that I can see. I wouldn't doubt lab so fast, at least around here. Almost every mix has lab or shepherd in it.
Maybe shepherd/collie/lab/dobe or a different combo of those? I don't know.
While I don't particularly see either, they also say she was an owner surrender and that the owner has owned her for the dog's entire life. Maybe they knew what the parents are? Or at least what the parents look like. While I wouldn't put that guess on that dog, heaven knows genes can do some weird things.
That's true. I've known some dogs as well as known their parents, and you wouldn't believe how different they look. You'd never guess they came from either one or part of any of the mixes the parents are.
I'm looking closer at Queenie, though, and I'm back to guessing Dobe. If you look at her paws, you can see the markings a lot of black and tan dogs have.
Definitely Dobe, the facial features as well as the coloring (light behind the legs and inner thighs, lighter muzzle, etc.). I had been looking at Toller 08's photos just yesterday and this one seems to be a good facial match:
Have no idea what the rest of the mix is though. Very cool dog!
