Hi there everyone!! Riley has been doing GREAT!! She has been sleeping all night, good in the house. Alomst finished with her second course of antibiotics. Anyway, today my son and I took a nap after school for about 3 hrs. She peed ALOT in her crate. I dont remember if I heard her whine or not. Is this something I should accept as an accident or what? I have been through alot with her and she has been through alot as well. I thought we were making progress but this just seems like a set back again.
Thanks for any advice/comments.

If she's been reliable lately, then you should be very slightly concerned. Puppies often relapse, and considering Riley's history, I think a mistake is definitely a possibility. However, watch her closely and take note of her accidents to make sure her UTI hasn't resurfaced.

Also, although your dog might be reliable at night when she is sleeping, things are much different during the day. It is harder for her to hold it when she is awake and in her crate than when she is asleep at night. Is 3 hours the longest she has gone so far without being taken out? If so, then you should consider cutting back to 1 or 2 hours between taking her out and no more than that until she is reliable.

Yes, she has been pretty good. Today though she seems to be needing to be going out again more often. She is still on her meds. I think I am going to call the vet and see what he thinks.
Thanks Oh and yes 3 hours maybe a wee bit more has been the longest so far.

A great idea would be to actually journal what is happening. You should also ensure that her feeding schedule is strictly followed. Sometimes if a dog get out of rhythm you can simply have a refresher course in potty training.
