Yeah, in this case, it's not even that. I suspect it's his control dependency. I think just in the last couple of weeks, if I had to guess based on behavior, that s*** just got really REAL for him (in terms of how epically serious I actually am to him) and it scares the bejesus out of him. For someone whose day to day life revolves around always being completely in control, I suppose vulnerability, and relinquishing to someone emotional ammo they can potentially destroy you with, might be somewhat of a hard pill to swallow.
