Well today I took my camera into college today for my animal health assignment as we were evaluation the enclosures. I managed to sneak a few pics when I was supossed to be working but couldn't resist the opportunity.

Blue tongues skink

Gecko (not sure what species, maybe day Gecko but don't really know)

The adorable Donkeys, so friendly and sweet!!!

Twiglet the (grumpy) alpaca lol

The aren't that clear but I didn't have all the time in the world to do it properly.

Those are great! I love the first one. They really do have the coolest tongues. Donkeys are so adorable, look how fuzzy they are..:)

Great pics! Donkeys are so cute! Some folks down the road have donkeys and llamas(?). What's the difference between alpacas and llamas, anyway? I heard somewhere that alpacas hum when they're happy (and spit when they're mad...) True?

I don't know much about alpacas, but llamas can spit. And depending on how mad they are they can bring up the contents of their stomach to spit at you. My gandparents have a couple llamas to guard their sheep. They're really neat animals. Apparently they are much better at guarding the sheep than the donkey's my grandparents had. But the donkeys were cute buggers, so when they got the llamas the donkeys got to retire and just be pets. I have a lot of fun childhood memories of Penny, Peggy, Peanut, Lance, and Larry. :D
