What are your thoughts on them? Have you ever had a session with one?

My friend Matt and I were at the dog park the other day with Fozzie and Matt's new dog. He looks like an Italian Greyhound x Mini Aussie, if you can imagine, and his name is Hanzo (pronounced like Gonzo with an H). Matt just adopted him and he's still coming out of his shell... very shutdowny, and Matt's girlfriend (who used to be one of my closest friends) is going to a Cesar Millan-esque dog trainer school and alpha rolling him left and right, so that's probably helping matters.

So, this lady with 2 Bassets walks over and crouches down by the dogs. Several other dogs come over and they're all very peaceful and seem to like the lady a lot. She asks my friend if he just adopted Hanzo, and he says yes. She says "Oh... they found him near dumpsters, right? He was a throwaway dog. He was telling me that he was a throwaway from across the dog park." And we both look at each other like WTF, because all of that was true. She talked about how he's a really sweet dog and does not need ANY punishment, only positive training, which made me really happy because I've obviously been telling them the same thing. She also said he was really scared of cars because he was thrown from one, which I totally called! He bit Christine in the car the other day because she was alpha rolling him while he was freaking out, and the lady asked about that, too.

She said Hanzo had a really rough start in life and needed to be spoiled for a while... Fozzie walked up to and she said, "unlike this guy! He has a very different upbringing. He has been spoiled. He's all about ME, me, me! He knows lots of tricks but he only does them when he feels like it. Very arrogant. He's lazy... yadadada" And then she looked me in the eyes and said "Keep him away from raisins. Never give him raisins." I obviously don't feed him raisins, but that really weirded me out. Is he going to die of a raisin overdose? He would. I was also kind of upset that she was so critical of him, but intrigued. Maybe I just imagined it, but Fozzie has acted differently since.

I might want to get Gonzo read... being the deep, confusing soul that he is. Any thoughts?

Sure, if it's not too much money, go for it. What the heck, the very worst that could happen is that you'd be entertained for a while!

Wow. What an interesting experience! I'm usually skeptical - because a lot of these people are just after $$$$... but I'd say go for it! :D

I've posted my experiences before. I've had calls where it all seemed like a huge scam, and times where it was mind-blowing. With the same person. If it isn't too much money (I think I paid $25 each time), go for it, enter with a grain of salt, and enjoy. I figure at worst it's cheap entertainment.

Dance was seen by one a couple of years ago. Some of the stuff that was said was just really odd, but most of it was spot on. Not really sure what I think, though. Nothing ever came of Dance's reading... and I just did it for a bit of fun and something different. It was really interesting regardless. :)

That really sounds very interesting. I would definitely have it done if it wasn't too expensive. Sounds fun.

I would want to use someone recommended by others who have had interesting/good experiences though. Does this lady do long distance consults? :D

Good for her. I am glad she stepped up to enlighten the owner. Someone needs to go alpha roll the woman. i am green with envy. I would love to meet a real communicator. I sure hope they listen and Honzo has the life he deserves.

We had a woman who would volunteer at the shelter once in a while (or when we had a particularly difficult case). One rabbit was absolutely crazy, attacking herself and everyone who tried to pick her up or clean her cage. The communicator came, and said she wanted a pink sweatshirt (????) So, we bought a pink sweatshirt, put it in her cage, and little miss bunny calmed right down and was a total doll baby.

Very strange. If there was one here for $25, I'd absolutely go (even if it just turns out to be entertainment)

A pink sweatshirt for a bunny? And it WORKED?

Life is very strange at times.
Believe me, we all thought it was bizarre...but we had nothing to lose (except the $1 we spend on the hoodie at the thrift store).

Maybe it was complete coincidence, or maybe the woman knew something we didn't, who knows? I saw the rabbit before and after though--a changed bunny!

I have used them several times over the last 4 years, sometimes they were amazing and sometimes not. I have used long distance and local that came to the home. I think it depends on getting someone legit. Too bad you didn't get that lady's name, sounds like she may be the real deal. The last time I contacted someone it was by phone in January after our Dillon dog died suddenly of unknown causes, it was a scary and heartbreaking session but I learned something that I had suspected all along, she was not given any details about his death.

Both of the people I have used were over the phone; one in Penn, one in Florida. And I was sitting in my house, 20 minutes from Tristan.

That's way cool. I love stories like this. I wish so badly I could do something like that.

I took my dog to one. My jaw dropped when she referred to something word for word that I used. Breezey hates all strangers, but with this woman,,she was focusing and quieter. If anything, this woman did have a knack for animals. I would do it again easily.
