Well... maybe he really DIDN'T know. I'd rather them give a non-answer like that than automatically anything that isn't labeled "DOG FOOD" is poisonous.

I was expecting a vet response like "your going to kill your dog feeding raw pork!! Here have som' science diet" at least you didn't have to go down that road with a vet yet...

No, he did. He told me to switch over to a safe, processed dog food. He directed me to the Science Diet that they were selling out in the main room. It's not like he was a supporter for raw. It's that rather than finding out or telling me to find out, he said to just feed it to her and see what happens. And considering I just told him that I thought I remembered it was harmful to dogs...? I'd much rather he just said he did not know than recommend I use her as a test subject.
