After reading the story I would say it is the same. However I am sure that people have not heard of her before as they did Michael Vick. It was the first time I have heard of this woman.

Sad but true, there was a huge up roar in the horse world at the time when the insurance frauds and horse killers/hitmen were exsposed. A lot of well known names were on that list and convicted.

I am glad that it is a felony now or soon to be to abuse an animal. I don't think you should be able to compete in any animal "sport" if you have that on your record.
THere is kharma and she will get hers.

It was a huge deal when it became public, and some very very big names in the horse world were involved. Of course, because it was the horse world, some of the trainers in involved still have plenty of clients. There isn't a smiley angry enough to express my feelings about that.

The people involved were basically charged with insurance fraud; no animal cruelty in any case that I'm aware of.

Boston's former trainer was one of the very big trainers involved in it.

As horrible as this all is I do believe people can change and she very well may have. Or she could be just as horrible. I'd need to know more to pass judgment.

I'd like to think people can change; I don't think I am capable of being forgiving in this case. Hiring someone to electrocute your horse because you want the insurance money? When you are already rich beyond means any of us will ever achieve? You suck. End of story.

She has NOT "changed" at all. She shows no remorse whatsoever.

At the Westminster show she was asked about that prior incident, and blamed it on "a mistake of a young person I was working for." She did 6 months in a federal penitentiary for insurance fraud and still won't admit that she was guilty. :madgo:

Besides the insurance fraud, it's not likely for someone guilty of that level of cruelty to "transform" themselves in any way. That poor horse suffered a horrible and painful death, one that she arranged to satisfy nothing but her own insatiable greed. People like that don't change.

Every human being is capable of change if they want it. I am not saying she has but to say she can't is jumping the gun.

I think people can change too but I'm guessing with the lack of remorse that isn't the case here. Her employer was young but she was over 50 yrs old. If my employer told me to do what she did, I would find a new job and have nothing to do with it, period.

Agreed, I did when told to abuse a horse for the sake of a ribbon, refused and then quit. Employer was a big name too. Although I would expect those types have to much more careful these days with camera phones.

I couldn't get the story to pop up because it is block from my work

How did the horse die? Pain...Suffering?

Please tell me she didn't burn the horse up....

People do change but the the type of person who can cause the type of pain and suffering that Vick did, I believe are sociopathy of a kind and aren't able to change out of that IMHO.
