amount of food question

I have a new puppy and am feeding Canadae. Is the amount listed on the back of the package the amount to feed in a day? 2-10 lb dog 1/2-1 1/2 cups So for a puppy under 6 monthes feed 4 times a day-so this amount gets broken up into 4 feeedings, not that much 4 times a day-right? I am just putting food in the bowl and he eats when he wants, but I want to start measuring, so I know how much he is eating.

Yes, Canidae lists it per day, not per feeding so you are doing it right. I had to ask my vet the same question when I switched to Canidae!
