Well guys....it isn't good news what I'm about to tell you.I'm crying so much right now.... I'm so sad...It turns out that Amira could possibly have cancer...By the symptoms it really is...Her ganglions are swollen and she has that thing on her spleen, 6 mm thick...I DON'T WANT HER TO GO, I'M NOT READY FOR HER TO GO!!!I can't stop from crying...I don't know what to do...I love her sooo much
But I have to think positive...I think maybe she senced something..coz she's been so good and calm...and all she does is watch me in the eye...I'm looking at her and I'm thinking that I won't see those eyes anymore someday...

Nicco, nothing's been confirmed yet? We'll all hope it's going to be a false alarm.

There's a name for the swollen ganglia that I can't remember right now, and they're fairly common in large, muscular dogs. I've used Essiac tea with very good results. And the spleen is an organ that can be removed if necessary.

I'll see if I can't find you the threads about Essiac and post the links here for you.

You'll be better when you can DO something proactive. I know - all too well. I realize that 12 is ancient for a Dane, but I'm not ready for Amira to go yet and I know how you are feeling about it. We want them to live with us forever . . .

We all were so sorry to hear about your Poor Amira. We will keep you in our Prayers. I know how hard it can be. We had 2 cats (before we got the Dobermans) one was 17 and the other was 15. On the yearly check up the vet said I have bad news and bad news. One had lung cancer and the other had kidney failure. We lost them both within 3 months of each other. Treasure each day! God will be by yours and Amira's Side.

dunno...tomorrow I'll meet a girl who is graduate in vet school....And she is the one whom I got Amira from..so she'll advise me what to do (she knows almost everybody in veterinary ...I hope it will be fine...*sigh*
