I thought most of the challenges were pretty dumb too LOL

But I am soooo glad Presley won!! He and Travis have such a great relationship, Presley is going to be an amazing dog when he matures!!!

Ozzy wouldn't act like Andrew and he does pretty much follow me every where. If I leave a room though, with the intent that Ozzy is going to stay IN the room, then he goes to sleep. :p

I already knew who won before I watched the show thanks to you guys that saw the show first in their time zone. :p
I am so glad Presley won! He's such a good dog and I love the relationship between Presley and Travis. I love that Travis entered the competition, went through the sometimes silly tasks, but still earned a lot of respect by being loyal to Presley and not losing sight of his relationship, and tried to make everything fun for Presley. For that he wins major points in my book.
I would have been happy if Andrew won, too. He's adorable and he's proven he's a fantastic little dog who's done a lot of things I never thought I'd see a Maltese do!
JD, wow. He really proved how arrogant he is in this episode. He barely talked Galaxy, it seemes all about him. Did anyone else notice that when the judges asked what Galaxy learned (or something to that effect), in his answer he says absolutely nothing about Galaxy, but goes on about himself?

Yeah, I noticed that too. I'm not sure if it's because of editing or not though. That part seemed heavily edited. The ending though, where he was eliminated, was definitely un cool though. He was quite rude at that point.

Ugh, JD was annoying but Galaxy was such a sweetheart. When they were expelled, what the heck was he doing when he held up Galaxy's hind legs and "clapped" them? Why would you do that, especially when she was just at a vet not long ago for a sore muscle.

I do think Andrew was too attached. It's one thing for him to be close with his mama, plenty of dogs are... but he should be able to do things even if she's not around.
Lucy is very attached to my mom and follows her all over the house and is always in her lap, but my mom can leave and Lucy will still interact with other people.

He'll get a lot of PR. Hope people realize that Presley isn't the average boxer !!!
I hope people realize the amount of training that goes into all of those dogs. It isn't a matter of buying a certain breed so much as it is spending the time socializing and training the dog. It is always scary that people see things like this and then rush out to buy the same breed as if it will just miraculously be like the dog they saw on a show or movie. Very sad, really. :(

Well I thought Bill and Star should have won, unfortunately they were eliminated a few shows ago.

After they left I wanted Galaxy to win. She was actually what I would think of as the Greatest American Dog. Well trained, playful, obedient, ...etc. They just didn't like JD, and I do think the judges were out of line by saying he threatened Galaxy. So I don't think he was being out of line when he said he would never threaten his dog.

I think the judges need to get off their high horses and realize that THEIR way is not the ONLY way. Galaxy was better trained and more well behaved than most every dog on that show.

And Andrew, sure I was impressed, I have never seen a maltese run an agility course and that was great, but he wasn't playful really at all, all he wanted was to be with Laurie. And she did baby him a lot, not just in the last challenge but in others as well, or where she made the hole in the paper he had to jump through a little bigger.

Sure I like Travis and Presley, but I don't really think Presley should have got it over Galaxy or Star. To me it shouldn't be about "potential" maybe he has the potential to be the Greatest American Dog, but at that moment, he was not as qualified as other dogs.

And I think the whole idea of trying to get a dog to jump off a 30 foot ledge on a zip line is ridiculous. Would YOU want YOUR dog to be trained that it is OK to jump off a 30 foot ledge? I really think they could have come up with some better challenges than what they did.

I wasn't a fan of the zip line challenge at all, or the elephant ones. Seemed to me that a lot of them were pretty useless challenges LOL If they have another season I hope they get judges that are actual judges and some better challenges.

I wouldn't have even done the zipline lol, no way would I expect my dogs to.

I thought the one where they had to lead the puppies through the maze was dumb, too. Those dogs that went running right through without paying attention to the pups demonstrated a great recall--which is probably exactly what they were trained to do in the first place. They don't know that they're supposed to rally up the puppies too, they just know that they're being called for so they had better obey!

I still thought the challenges were really cool to watch, as ridiculous as most of them were. If Molly were younger, she'd totally be able to compete with the rest of 'em. :p

i can't imagine what it would belike to have to come up with the challanges. What would you have them do that would satistfy the public and still show creativity and faith in each other? I think most of the dogs were outstanding, the people mostly. The show allowed me to discuss a great deal with my grandgirl about how a handler has to be a leader in all respects, voice and body language. I am looking forward to the next season.
