i am the biggest sucker for acapella and above all harmony..i have perfect pitch thanks to mummy for teaching me the piano very early..oh they had incredible control didn't they..it was just sweeeeeeeeeeeet! i can't wait to here them again..everyone else pales in comparison...i hope they win. Can you imagine being parents of such young men..in your home..singing together, practicing together, what a fabulous life they must have.
I am a big fan of the nevil brothers for the same reason.

I only caught a couple of acts including theirs - but after hearing them, there was little else that could top their act. I generally don't watch American Idol (or the Canadian version either), however every now and again I'm delightfully suprised at the talent.

I am glad someone else saw it too especially you Andrew..It is nice when you see something that is just grand to share the experience....I am looking forward to the next time they are on. I think so far they even beat all the previous winners tho Clay Is an excellent singer..he is smooth and has a control and style i respect.
My daughter and i use to sing together a great deal. She had a incredible voice but has done nothing with it which is a pity..I could never get her to sing harmony tho..(my voice isn't strong at all but i can stay on pitch enuff to teach her)..everytime i tried to take the harmony part she would just follow me..it wasn't going to happen darn it. I love music!
hey second set of twins arent bad at all either..not in the same ballfield but they are interesting. one brother was better richer and stronger then the other..where the first two were an even match..a perfect match
Do you ever listen to the nevil brothers especially Aaron? i heard he was in jail and i don't know why

Never listened to the Nevel Brothers. Not because I don't like them - I'm just pretty limited in my exposure to music. However, every once in a while you hear someone singing and it actually makes you stop what you're doing and listen. For me, the last time that happened was when Josh Groban (sp?) did the song 'you raise me up'. I was doing something else when that song came on and my first thought was the voice was very distinguished (and I generally prefer female vocalists)....and then I really started listening.

As I say, I'm not a music buff, but once in a while I luck into catching something special....and it stays with you.

As for daughters singing, My oldest could've cracked glass even a year ago, but now she's getting the hang of carrying a tune instead of singing in difiance of it. It's quite amazing to see how she's progressed and more so to realize that unlike me, she will have a beautiful voice! - and more so, that she sings for the love of it instead of worrying about it being perfect! :)

singing is like all the arts..you never get worse with practice;) :D

It kinda upset me that they didn't let the Statue of Liberty guy sing, yeah he looked silly but he sounded nice.

I loved the darryl and terrel twins. They were awesome.

My absolute favorite of the night, though, was the girl with the tan and the eye makeup. Was she drunk???? Or are there actually people out there who act like that??

as far as the tan girl, did you catch that she came back and try again after all she had said about them and too them!! I thought that was totally hilarious, like changing clothes could disguise her!! She even still had on the same earrings!!!LMAO

I didn't see the show... but my boyfriend did. THe second girl who sang is a friend of his in NYC. She has actually performed in Cabaret on Broadway... I guess after doing the Humpty they asked her two lines in to sing another song. She blanked on songs..

Beautiful, sweet girl... it is a shame.

lol. even if you don't watch the regular show, the try outs are awesome. i don't care who you are or what kind of stand you have taken against the show.

UGH HOW could any respectable mother would wear something like that. She looked like the Joker. Her lips were stretched ear to ear lol too many face lifts. She was in her 50's at least and she was wearing a miniskirt and a halter top EW
