AKC Coursing Ability Test (CAT) and the Colliewogs

Well, we finally got to go to our first CAT and the Collies had a blast (sorry no pics, so don't ask! lol).

Both girls ran great, despite the 90 degree weather, and each earned 2 of the 3 needed Qualifying Runs toward their CA titles. Yea!

Sadly, it's too hot for anything else until October, so now we go into Florida hibernation (in the house with the AC blasting until it cools off by, say, September or October).

Unless I luck into someone taking pics and they capture my dogs, there won't be pics. I can't handle 2 dogs and camera by myself.

I may be taking mine to Tulsa next month to try it. I'll probably only go for one leg (they offer two) just to make sure they actually like it and will do it lol.

It was in Altoona, which is North of Ocala. They will have another trial again in October, should be at the same place (Rocking Horse Ranch).

I'm a little bummed it's AKC only, because my AHTs (and my Patterdale) won't be able to play. Now we just have to hope for some UKC coursing one of these days!
