I'm so sick of him... I'm so sick of them.
My mother and her partner. As soon as his name is mentioned she just changes, she is no longer our Mum, she is his girlfriend and she is so rude!
I have talked to her about it so many times, and she obvisouly doesn't care enough to change anything.
He comes here every single weekend, all weekend. They talk on the phone, every night, for hours. She works all ay, comes home, gets on the phone. Cooks dinner and goes to bed.
On Thursday, she came home and said "lets go out to dinner" I agreed, though omg how nice. We never do that... no. Steve was coming up, so ofcourse we had to go out to dinner. Go out to dinner so they can sit and talk and my sister and I can sit in silence because we're not interested in import/export or grain. Then we get to get in trouble for being insanley rude for not talking.
When my mum finally broke it off with her last partner I was so glad, I finally had her back. 6 weeks later she met steve and everytime he's around she changes.
FInally, I decided fine, he isn't that bad. Its just mum I can't stand. Well now the last couple of weeks he's been bossing us around. No, he doesn't live here, I'm nothing to do with him, I don't have to go to the shop to get his food to cook breakfast I can't eat.
On top of all that, he's a horse guy. He does roping, I don't agree with it so we don't discuss it. He's given us his horse to care for for the time being. Singing her praises on how she can do anything, great. But now mum wants to cancel my riding lessons because I have Steve's horse to ride (which I can't btw, she's not easy to ride when you've been learning a very different style) We've discussed horses but I gave up when I mentioned them being flighty versus fighty in general as a species and he just kept saing "no, not if they know they're environment"... well yes. If a horse gets spooked they will almost always turn to flight, not fight.
Today was great, we spent all day out at our instructors, we learned to lunge, we spent a couple of hours watching a dressage DVD and we rode in the aftrenoon. My sister fell off when the horses spooked.
On the way home we were talking to mum, telling her our arms were sore from holding the lunging whip and how grace fell off.
And I really don't think this man has any respect for my instructor because she teaches English riding, I think he see's it as prissy. Which annoys the crap out of me because he knows nothing about it, I know very little about it but have a huge respect for it because I know how hard it is.
He's been droppoing comments all night about how are we meant to stay on if we rely more on balance than grip to ride? and that lunging is more or less a pointlesss skill.
Now the last straw, tonight I'm walking around, picking up dog bowls for dinner and he says "All horses will shy, Maggie, all horses will shy"
OMFG I know that, I was tellign him that last week. I'm not an idiot and I knwo there is no such thing as a 100% bombproof horse, I would be stupid to get on a horse and expect it to act liek a robot.
I don't like this man, and I don't like my mother when she's around him.
I'm sorry, I just really need to vent. I don't know what I can say to my mother anymore than I already have "please don't turn mean around him, please just be yourself, please don't let him interupt our sentences but jump down our throats if we accidentally interupt him, please stop walking in the door with the first words out of your mouth being "omg it stinks like dog, do you never open the windows? do you never clean out the cat tray?", please keep your promises..." and it goes on... I'm so sick of it.
