Agility equipment

Ok so my friends lab mix is pretty hyper and I thought agility would help. I just need to know how to build or where to get the agility equipment. I don't have all that much and my friends don't really want to caugh up the money, so any suggestions or websites showing how to build the equipment or what I need?

You can make equipment out of PVC pipes. Here's a good site that explains it all. http://www.dog-play.com/agility/agilitye.html I can also send you copys of a book someone sent me. Its got a bit of info about it. I havnt read through it yet so I dont know. Do a search on Google.com. You'll come up with tonnes of info. Also look at pics then ake it your self. Hope this helps

Cool... I'm gonna have to get a hold of some PVC pipes. One time I tried building a jump out of wood for my corgi, sigh, it didn't work out very well

I built a tire jump out of PVC and pool pipes (the pipes for the creepy crawly) and some weave poles out of electrical wiring (its plastic and thinner than PVC) with steel pegs to hold the poles - with T pieces in the poles I can use the same steel pegs to create jumps with adjustable height pieces. The steel pegs were made from 12 inch nails with a metal pipe cut into short pieces and welded to the nail - I had to get a friend to do that for me though cause he had the equipment.

hey i like to build my own equip too, may be we can share ideas how to build more equip, i m trying to build a chute, but i cant find the proper spring wire to hold the tunnel portion. any suggestion?

I have made my own jumps, and I am going to start on the dog walk next....
It is really fun! And not very expensive I made to bar jumps together for $20 at menards....Hope that helps!

I have made some weave poles out of PVC pipe, but they need to be painted.

Has anyone painted PVC pipe? What type of paint should I use?

If the pipe is white (mine was - just for a home/fun course) - why not use thick red tape around eye height?
Easier and quicker!

shyeow - not sure if you'll find in Malaysia, but I've found quite decent tunnels in cheap kids play sets (e.g. to connect play houses)...
