Meh. I don't like to. I hate being so young and almost always wind up getting picked at for my age (or totally brushed off, which is even worse. if one is "just a kid" surely their opinion doesn't matter!). I'm not dishonest about my age, I just don't like to tell it unless asked. Sorry if it's annoying to you!
I feel the same way. I can't remember if I have my age in my profile or not - but I am 18.
On other forums I'm on, people have always thought I was older than I really am.
I get the age card pulled on me at work all the time and it annoys the heck out of me. I work a full-time job, take care of 3 dogs (my children), pay rent, pay bills, clean house, cook dinner, etc. That's probably a lot more that some 18 year olds could say (including my friends.) The only thing is that their parents bought them a car and pay their insurance for them - so I don't drive yet because my parents refuse to do that. Everything that I have that is expensive I payed for on my own - my 4 digital cameras, my dogs (parents help on vet bills, though), my computer, redecorating my room, etc.
BUT, the age card still gets pulled "You're only 18 and have been working her for yadda yadda yadda" and since this is coming from co-workers and *I* have my boss behind me 100% I tell them off.
