Our adult Min-Pin/Corgi mix female got loose about a week ago and our neighbor found her just a little way from home, she was only gone about 20 - 30 minutes - her tie out had broke. They said she appeared to be eating something but being in tall weeds they couldn't tell what it was. Since then she has not been eating her normal food. She has also vomited once or twice, kind of yellowish. She will eat any food that happens to fall to the floor or that the kids give her when our backs are turned. She is being her normal lazy self, a bit depressed though, and still gets all excited for walks or to go on car rides.

My wife is a little more concerned than I am. I am thinking of cooking up some chicken for her and seeing if she will eat that. Does anyone here think it sounds kind of serious?

To be on the safe side, you can certainly get her checked out at the vet.

She is going to the bathroom. No diareah, worms in her stool and it is regular. My wife and I did some "detective" work last night. Bella ate when given her food out of her bowl and THEN she ate out of it. I moved her water and food bowls to the middle of the room last night and there seemed to be more food gone this morning then anytime in the last week or so. And we also realized there has been two major, to a dog, changes in the last month to her routine. Her water and food bowl's have been changed and her sleeping area has been "compromised" by a two year old human *L* But those last two were a few weeks ago, so I'm not sure if she would be disturbed by them enough after a couple of weeks enough to stop eating.

Thanks for the replies :D Much apreciated and I think this will be a very fun and informative forum to be a part of :D

So, has the vomiting stopped? If so, you may be fine.

My Xena goes through having stomach issues about once or twice a year - usually when we move from winter to spring or summer to fall. Could be related to when her coat changes. Not sure. But she'll want to eat a bunch of grass, she'll throw up and she'll have diarrhea. As it's "normal" for her, we generally put her on a bland diet for a few days and it clears up. If it doesn't clear up in a day or two (or gets worse), we take her to the vet to be safe.

The thing that concerns me is you said that she ate something unknown. If it was something that would just make her sick and it's passed, then fine, but if it's something that's not digestible and is logged someplace in her tract, well, you have other issues now.

Either way, welcome to the forum and I hope your girl is OK.
