I LOVE CDs. Yes I carry around my music on an MP3 player but honestly I've had too many issues with iTunes/iPods to trust them with my music library so hard copy it is for me.
I really like my Kindle but books are how I usually go. There is a used books store near where I work. They have over 3 mil books. The books are insanely cheap and make even digital book prices look extremely costly. Not to mention they are having their sale now and all paper back books are only fifty cents and all hardbacks are only $1.
