I have written a lot about them here. First the dog tied to my door. That dog, along with her pup, and their other large male all dead with in a month of my moving in. 2 lost, one staked out and teased. The two that barked all night with the windows open, one that bit Harley can now join the ranks of the deceased. THe owner was evading the police in his car. The dogs were with him. When he was caught Casper was shot on the spot, and the other, dear lovely, sweetest ever pit bull was sent to animal control where she was put down. SHe didnt' have a mean bone in her body. Casper was aggressive, but she was not. THat brings the total to 2 missing dogs, 5 dead dogs, 4 dumped cats, and one cat that was hit.4 different apts, in two side by side buildings. I hope they are all real proud of themselves.
Shady was a lovely lovely dog, and I so horribly sorry she had to go that way.

Saddest part is the one sane man, responsible pet owner, and darn nice person that is in that building told me he offered to take Shady and adopt her but the man on the "run" from the police wouldn't let his dogs go. I have no sympathy on him whatsoever and feel he is exactly where he belongs.

I wish I could get over this. i have enough of my own problems to worry about. I just can't get the image of Shady out of my mind. That morning she ran down the hill and across the street, I was sure she was getting ready to attack my dogs. So sure that I threw my whole cup of gatoraid in her face. She came to a complete stop and pooked out her lip. I felt so bad, wiped it off and she was just such a sweetheart, all she was doing was saying Hi to us and I misjudged the situation.. EVery time I look at that building I want to hurl something at it. I will miss seeing her in the window. She was a doll baby if there ever was one. I understand why they shot Casper on the spot. He was a very aggressive pit but Shady was not, and she was a pit too, she was the exact opposite. If they put her in the patrol car and took her to the vet's they should have been able to see that. WE do not have an animal control here. Any of us would have taken her in until she could have been rehomed. I am just furious about the whole business of it.
I am sick of those people that live there except for one apt, sick of what they do and no one seems to care. There are 3 dogs left, one gets staked out all the time, gets loose all the time, and I have sworn to the heavens above i am calling the very next time I see that dog loose. THey have already ruined him for any hopes of a good future.

Like you said, with all you have in your own life, to be forced to watch because it's where you live, all of this play out, knowing it's going to end badly for the animals must be torture for you.

There is no solution when you're dealing with morons.

I'll keep you and their poor animals in my thoughts. Take care.
