It doesn't matter in which form it comes, what counts is shelf stability and the amount of CFU (colony forming units) per serving - the higher the better.
With around 100 million CFU per gram, that Ultra Probiotic Powder is pretty weak actually. For comparison, the product I'm currently using contains 4 billion CFU per gram. Since dogs have a much faster metabolism than people, and a shorter digestive tract, which provides less room for beneficial bacteria to do their work, the higher doses are better - and the higher the concentration of CFU, the less of the product you have to give per day.
I'm also not a big fan of giving digestive enzymes to a normal, healthy dog on a daily basis, since it may interfere with the body's own production.
