Ace has sores that are driving him crazy!

So the saga continues with Ace's skin issues.

We were able to clear up the horrible blood red rash with a diet change and medicated shampoo. But now he keeps getting these raised bumps that get sore and scab over. The ones he can get to, he keeps scratching and licking them until they bleed. I dont think they are the sores from excessive licking because he gets them ontop of his head too....where he cant get to lick them.

So then I thought this could be flea bites. But he has always been on flea preventive. I also bathed him in a good flea shampoo. And I see no fleas on him. I thought he had some flea dirt, but i think its just blood from where he picks at the sores.

Some of yall helped me with his rash issue, so please give me some ideas on this. They are groups of raised bumps that scab over fairly quick and the skin around them gets irritated. I know im gonna most likely have to take him to the vet. I was just wondering if anyone elses dog has this issue.

Well we are back to square one. Once again, Ace has a bacterial yeast skin infection causing these sores and rash. The vet put him on meds AGAIN (prednisone and simplicef) and put him on a higher quality flea/tick preventative called Promeris. He said this will eliminate mites being the problem. Supposedly the stuff you buy at PetSmart isnt good enough.

Im really more than aggravated with this. The vet is treating the sympton, as it goes away with antibiotics every time. But he cant tell me whats causing it. This is the last straw with them. I guess if it comes back I will change vets YET AGAIN...i cant keep having somebody guess at the problems for $250 per visit. I have got to know whats causing it or he will never get rid of this problem.
