ACD/stumpy tailed cattle dog/Queensland Heeler?

Ok, just wondering. What or is there a difference between Australian Cattle Dogs, Queensland Heelers, and Stumpy Tailed Cattle Dogs?

The ACD (australian cattle dog) and the queensland/blue/red heeler are the same dog. The ACD is the correct name though, the others are "nicknames"

The Australian Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog is a seperate breed, their a bit lighter build, and... as the name implies, have a stumpy tail.

ok, thank you for clearing that up. Are the Stumpy Tailed Cattle Dogs recognized by any kennel clubs?

I just checked the AKC website and they arn't listed. So I guess not AKC recognised but definetly are over her.

Also, from what I understand the stumpy tail is a solid blue color. I'm not sure if they come in red or not. Blue ACD's are blue and tan with or without black markings on the face, but the stumpy tail is solid blue. (possibly with black markings, I'm not sure on that) The stumpy tail is NOT an ACD with the tail cut off, they are born with a natural bobbed tail.

We had a pair of stumpy tails in the Tucson rescue, and I wish we had pictures of them. They were really neat little guys. From what I understand, they have the same breed origins as the ACDs, but the breed split into two at some point.

I've been looking aat some stumpy tail breeders, I've seen quite a few with black markings on their face and I did see one red. They actually look a bit like Buster sometimes. (yeah, my boys a show dog lol)
