It was good..Overall not as impressed as I was with the 2 ontario regionals I have been to. Lots of vendors though :D There were about 600 dogs (so about the same as the Ont regionals) and it was really neat to see dogs and handlers I have never seen before.

I spent the day timing the jumpers ring, so really all I saw was that class. Man it was a tricky tricky course. I heard the gamblers was really really tricky too!

I found it interesting to see that level of competition. I found it really crappily organized to be a spectator.. 6 rings simultaneously, groups that seemed random that they rotated in.. and no way to really find out where people you knew and wanted to watch would be, unless other people told you right before they ran and you ran around to that ring.. I did get to see some people I wanted, but totally missed others..

It was nice from my newbie perspective to see some people have off days even at that level though. Not that I wish anyone a bad run.. it's just nice to see it can happen even when you get that good.

It was rocking socialization for Smudge (no one could take him potty enough so he had to go) lots of american cocker lovers. And I was shocked to get to see them doing agility since I still hadn't seen another one till that weekend.

Disorganized would be an understatment about Nationals, the list of complaints from competitors is very long. I could list mine but at this point can't be bothered, considering I just got home this morning.

I ran Petie, but he certainly wasn't himself considering his recent illness. He was giving me all kinds of stress behaviours, which resulted in some not so great runs, but that is ok. I knew he wasn't feeling well and we just went out and played and did what he wanted to do. He ran clean in the first Jumpers which placed us 17th out of 68 dogs, I was very pleased with him considering how he is feeling and running about 6-7 secs slower and the company that we were competing against. He was also rock'n in Gamblers and would have gotten the Main Gamble if he had had a handler that would have stayed put and kept her mouth shut, instead of starting to take a step and therefore calling him over the wrong jump lol. Tough tough, Gamble, not main were successful. Handler error again cost him the Main Gamble in the other one too lol. Poor Petie lol.
I pulled him from Sundays final Standard, there was no point in pushing him. He really wasn't into the game by then. Because of his CHF, I expect this well be his Nationals, and it maybe his last agility runs. So we went and had fun, cheered on friends.
