A year ago today...the dog that wouldn't play

The dog that wouldn't play
Had no idea what to do with toys
Got over-excited outside
Went 'zoomies' when off-leash!
Hard to walk!
Never barked with joy
Was withdrawn, very fearful of strangers, not really into being petted

That was Bonnie when I took her from a rescue center on the east coast of Spain a few months before I joined Chaz

ONE YEAR AGO TODAY !!!

She is such a different dog now - totally settled, socialised, playful, healthy and happy!

I'm so pleased that I've got such a great companion! We've since moved home, done lots of travelling and she's so settled and loyal now her past life must be a distant memory. Everyone who sees her says what a great dog she is - its so pleasing.

We had one scare this year with a toxic/poison reaction - but she thankfully fully recovered and that's behind us now.

Thank you to all her Chaz friends for help advice and such over the past year!

Now, get this stupid hat off of me and throw me a ball

Ha! OK Daddy's spoilt princess, I'll take the dozy hat off!

From not knowing how to play she's learned to play all right---
* football
* fetch
* hide+seek
* swimming
* did I hear the car keys? adventure adventure!
* I-am-such-a-poor-hard-done-by-dog-look-at-these-sad-eyes so you must give me extra treats
* was that the fridge door I heard...?
* are you cooking? look I know all my commands and will sit here patiently like a super obedient dog!
* you've been still for too long - shall I show you all my toys, especially the squeaky ones if you're trying to concentrate!
* etc! etc!

J/K - she is a super dog, especially in the home, but does have "character" for sure, which is loveable

I don't think she realises that I am not just here to be her playmate - there are a few other things I've got to do each day lol

If I come back I'm coming back as a dog!
