Oh, so does PETA. They think the best thing would be to euthanize them all and end their unbearable suffering and slavery. *#(^ing wackos.
And just think. PETA spokespeople have made comments that they value the life of dogs over that of the "retarded child." So just use your brain to figure out how what they would do to those kids if given the chance based upon what they do to the dogs they so "love."

And there is NOTHING "moderate" about PETA. Nothing.

I saw this on a list I belong to. The running suggestion was to call and have a bag sent to your home :)
Then fill it with a "donation" curteousy of your pets and return the body bag.
Since this is a health concern the suggestion of fake dog poo and no return address was also suggested. :D

PETA makes those of us who genuinely care about animals and who try to help them look bad, nevermind the responsible breeders out there who breed for a purpose.

I'm no fan of PETA, but I must admit that is pretty darn clever!! Maybe it will get through to some people. I find it appropriate, especially since most of the breeders who advertise in Dog Fancy are nowhere near ethical.

Pretty darn clever? Not quite.

When their hypocrite Vice President stops using insulin (derived from animals, tested on animals), they stop using scare tactics and terroristic actions to FORCE their warped beliefs, and stop killing 98% of the animals they take in, THEN maybe someone would give two steaming piles about anything they have to say...

Oh yeah, and if they'd stop with the whole smoke and mirrors bullshit and actually just place an ad saying "Homeless pets need homes too" or somethign semi-sane, then maybe people would listen to the cause. But nooooooooooo, they are all about the sensationalism, the exploitation of humans (isn't that rich) and the ultimate in guilt trips. Well, I don't feel guilty. I bought my purebred, and will buy another. I also rescue mixed breeds so who the F*CK are they to tell me what I should and should not do and to criticize MY morals.

Peta Puppets blow. Every word out of their mouths is a lie, a threat, or a guilt trip. They have no credibility with anyone who is capable of thinking for themselves.

So who says that the person bought the puppy from a breeder in Dog Fancy? I read DF, but wouldn't buy a pup from one of the breeders that advertises in it.

Wow really I've never taken the time to personally call every single breeder that lists their to throughly interview them and visit their home enviroments to double check.

What lead you to this conclusion if you dont mind me asking?

I would be a large amount of money that she didnt' call those breeders.

So summit you agree we should stop people from getting pups from breeders?

Why didn't Dog Fancy check out the ad before putting it in the magazine? Shouldn't they be checking ads that say 'free gift'???

Agree 100%.

My boyfriend had no idea who PETA even was unitil I explained them to him, and showed them their trifecta of BS commercials on youtube. He proceeded to call the number from the DF ad and leave them some choice words.

I dare them to telemarket our house. I hope they do. It will be highly entertaining when one of us picks that call up. LMAO

The last time I read a dog fancy (it was a while ago) most of the ads screamed "huge heads"! "Bred to be the biggest!" and things like that. I would say those are red flags... but of course it doesn't mean that all the breeders advertising in the back of dog fancy are bad.

But PetA's ad is still sickening, regardless.

There are definately some red flag ads in Dog Fancy, which I pick up on occasion if there is an article that looks interesting. As for some of the others, who knows?

It doesn't matter. PETA isn't saying don't buy from unethical breeders . .. they are saying anyone who buys a purebred kills a dog. Nice folks, PETA.

I've been on the fence about PETA but this just seals the deal. Their cause is good but their tactics are horrible. There is NOTHING wrong with buying a puppy from a breeder - one more that WON'T end up in a shelter.
I'm sorry, but their cause is NOT GOOD.

Their cause and their goal is to have ZERO domesticated animals of any sort. They do not believe in "animal slavery".

They want no dairies, no beef cattle, no eggs, no chicken farms, no horses to enjoy, and especially no dogs or cats living in domestic slavery.

PETA is out to END companion animals of all types. If you love dogs, you need to hate PETA with every fiber of your being, because they want to eliminate companion animals.
