A painted plaque of Ella.

Ben's Christmas present to me is a painted plaque of Ella.
A friend on another board makes leash racks with a painted picture of her customer's dog's head on it.

I have a leash rack already, so I asked her if she'd leave the hooks off and paint Ella on the plaque for me.

She did FABULOUSLY!!

She captured Ella perfectly!
The ears, the beautiful eyes, and the ball obsessed gaze.

And here's a pic of it with what will be the font she is going to use to paint Ella's name on it. She's painting the name in a violet color with lavender accenting.

My eyes teared when I opened up the message and saw these pics in it. It really is special to me. I LOVE it.
THAT is talent. She free-hand paints the head on via use of a photo of the dog!
