I've noticed in the past few days that people's feelings have gotten hurt a lot and crude things have been said that shouldn't have been. I'd just like to say to anyone thinking of leaving, please don't! I don't say this because I have the best interests of the forum in mind, I say this because i'm greedy and love having as many amazing people surrounding me as I possibly can and losing any one of you (even just one) always is a big pain to me. I love you all and you guys mean so much to me! It's kinda sad really that I have such deep feelings for people I don't even know but it's true and I don't even wanan try to hide it! Sure there have been times where I have been deeply annoyed by a few but heck, even the best of friends get into the most hate-filled disagreements at times! It's important to remember that in intense, stressful, heated topics many irrational things are said in the moment without actually being meant. Being an international and age-varying forum we must remember that what we may percieve as a joke, may be taken asa serious blow by someone either due to their culture, personal experiences, or just how they are. I could break out some "Yo mamma" jokes and know that the younger north american posters would laugh knowing they;re a common joke that isn't serious at all however I don't because someone from another part of the world may read it and take it serious! Misunderstandings happen, it's part of the internet and people are all different and unique, some for the better in one's opnion, some you may avoid saying hi to i you passed them on the street. It doesn't matter because in the end you don't know them and they don't know you so if you take offense to something written, don't take it serious cause it just aint worth it!

Maybe a lot of the temperaments lately on here have to do with the state our nation is in currently (i think most of us are in the USA anyway). By that I mean the natural disasters, the displacement of our fellow Americans and 4 legged friends, plus the cost of fuel.

So thanks for the hug oc! I'll send out a hand shake to everyone.

That's quite the possibility TC! Those issues certainly heighten stress levels andsometimes if we tend to bottle our stresses up they are unintentionally released in other potentially hurtful ways! And thanks for the handshake!

I am the person who made the comment that upset her. I have apologized in public and in private. NEVER was it my intent to hurt her feelings, my intent was to get her to think about what she said. That is ALL. I realize I can be abrasive sometimes, but nobody will ever be able to call me a liar. (Well, unless we start telling fish stories.) I tell the truth, even when it hurts. Because in the end, even those little "white" lies can hurt.

Also, it might have something to do with the male to female ratio here. This site has taught me a few things already and one of them is I probably can learn to get my point across with out being PAINFULLY honest. Still, sometimes you need a little pain to get better.

She was not too thrilled with a couple things I said in the "Leaving" thread. I personally feel that "politically correct" equates to arse kissing, pure and simple, and I am not about to do that for anyone or any reason. If people would just take the words as they are written, and not try to read hidden agendas into them, there would be lots less people bent out of shape. I say what I mean, and it gets tiresome having to try to "explain" what I mean.

I swear Puckstop, you are a mental and emotional clone of ME. That is frightening. I don't think the world is ready for TWO OF US!!!!!!!!! I wonder how many think that we actually ARE the same person, posting under two different names?????? That will be next, rofl.
