A guy on another forum I visit found a dead body!!

He found it while fishing.

Here is his story:

while fishing this morning i noticed white sneakers sticking out from the marsh while ridding along the marsh in my boat... as i slowed up i saw what apeared to be a male wearing sneakers jeans and a grey coat laying face down in the marsh..

i called 911 and waited for them to arrive..i spent most of the day on scene talking to cops and detectives and had to help recover the body using my boat because the police boat wasnt shallow enough to get top the body..

from what i could tell and what was told to me he was black male and possibly a fellow that drowned affter a boating accident over the weekend who wasnt wearing a PFD.

just a creepy thing to find....and a reminder WEAR YOUR PFD'S

Mercy, that's not a pleasant day for a fishing excursion!!! There was a shrimper down near Port O'Connor that had a badly decomposed body get wedged in his turtle excluder device; not a very pleasant sight to behold. As you mentioned, wear your PFD's, one never knows when it will save your life!!! Happy Boating!!!

I heard that here there is a reward for reporting a dead body, and i don't know if that was right or not but if it is..would you take the money?

Bleh. I always think that I'm going to find one someday, just because I'm forever walking my dog in isolated areas. Notice in news stories, 1/2 the time it's "the body was discovered by a man walking his dog"?

Some of my family lives on a creek, and after a particularly bad double car wreck off a nearby bridge (moral: do not drag race down a highway offramp when you're drunk), they found one of the missing teens off their dock.

Dispatch Ive found a dead body at 101 Birch Street Id like to report. Can you please call the Coroner and have them remove it from my property?

But still thoughts and prayers to the family of the guy that drowned.
