Okay, okay, not mine. But I'm ridiculously excited to meet the little guy. "Goldendoodles" have to be my mixed-breed guilty pleasure.
But the back story is funny.
My grandma lost her Lab 2 years ago who she was REALLY close to. She still misses her greatly. A few months later, they adopted a Foxhound from the shelter, who quickly became her husband's dog.
She had been talking of getting another, but wasn't sure she was ready, etc... well now her 17 year old cat died a few weeks ago, and he was "her" last animal, since Addie the Foxhound is literally like 100% her husband's dog, lol. So she is really missing having an animal of her own.
My uncle decided to surprise her with a Goldendoodle puppy for Mother's Day.
Oh I had to bite my tongue on Mother's Day though LOL, I just wanted to laugh at my uncle:
"Oh yeah the puppy comes from champion parents, that's why he's coming from Missouri, was $2500, comes with a health guarantee. You know, they're so good they told me they've never had a dog come up with any problems but they like to do a year guarantee anyway! Isn't that GREAT?! He's going to most likely already be housebroken" and he's going on and on, LOL... Champion Goldendoodles? I didn't know there was such a thing. I asked how he found them and he was like "ya know, I just googled goldendoodles in Maryland and it was the first site that came up!"
BUT, oh well, it's done and my grandma was crying, she was so happy and my uncle feels good about his Mother's Day present AND I get to play with PUPPY <3
He is flying in on Saturday and they're picking him from the airport.
