Somehow in the commotion yesterday I missed photos of Bruce and Toby. I will get photos of Toby today, and I'm sure Linda will be sending me some of Bruce very soon.

It's really neat to see official stacked pictures at 8 weeks. Pat Hastings says that at 8 weeks, puppies pretty much look as they will as adults. It will be interesting to compare these pics to stacked photos taken after a year or so.

They are all beautiful, outstanding puppies!

P.S. I LOVE Mick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of my longtime Rottweiler friends was here to help evaluate the litter. She has bred many litters, many CHs, including many specialty winners.

Her remarks were "Close your eyes and pick one. The worst puppy in this litter is better than the best one in most other litters."

I admit to a little second guessing myself on letting the stud dog owner take the nicest bitch. However, I have THREE adult bitches here, and Penny will remain intact for some time yet. I want to avoid having to separate bitches completely if I can. The prospect of another bitch who is to remain intact was just not good for me. A male will upset my pack order the least, so I opted for what I consider was the male with the best type, structure, topline, and movement.

It broke my HEART to see both Danny and Betty leave with Keith, but I know full well that both these puppies will be managed to their fullest potential with him. I have already arranged to have a puppy from her, and it is likely that she would come back to me to whelp her litter(s).

No matter what, these puppies have gone to outstanding homes where they will be shown and titled, so it is a win/win situation for me. Just trying to get over the "quiet house" and the "shoulda coulda" blues.

Aww, the puppies most miss you RED.

I had seen before in TV those wooded things under the puppies feet.

Is for trainning them to stock well?

Def. a nice looking little herd of rotten ones. & your so right about the puppies reaching thier potentials with Keith.

So which one did you end up keeping? If I was picking, I would of def. kept Milton as I think he is the nicer of the males.

I was editing my post to give you my opinion and lookit that, woot. I def. wanna see what he looks like around 2. I think he will be very nice. He is very short backed, which i like, with good rear angle, bone, and can't really tell, but looks like a nice headpeaice to go with it.

Awww this gets me excited because next May-June will be baby making time for Spy as well. The forum will be flooded with Rotten Ones

Bruce seems to be settling in just fine. She says he is fearless and unflappable even with her pack of 6 adults.

I have also heard from Cimaron's (now Iffie) new owner Sally, in FL and she reports that she is asking to go out, ate well, rode 8+ hours in the car with never a whimper except when she needed to go out, and from all reports I have, is being spoiled mercilessly by her doting owners.

Several things that I would love to know my friends are sending me good thoughts on:

1st, the kid across the street that had a litter of APBT puppies about a week before Penny did came over here yesterday to ask for me. He wanted me to babysit his sick puppy that is not eating. !!!!!!! They are about 10 weeks old. No vaccines. I KNOW it is Parvo, and it is right across the street from me. I sprayed everywhere he stood on my porch and sidewalk with KennelLan yesterday, but I am scared speechless. I'm going to talk to my vet this morning when I'm there. My puppies have had 2 vaccines, but please think healthy for them.

Also, Toby is leaving to fly to Seattle tomorrow morning. He leaves Atlanta at 8:32am, and will be arriving in Seattle at 11:00am PDT. Please keep him in your thoughts as he starts out on his big life journey. I will be glad to stop crying for a few days until it's time for one more to leave next week. This has been very hard, and I surely appreciate having you good people to share it with. I know you understand.

So after tomorrow you'll be down to three, correct? They are so beautiful, I can't wait to see their accomplishments. Now which pups do you know are going to be shown at this point? It will be so exciting to see, plus if they are part of breeding programs we can see (or at least here about) their pups too. You have done such a good job, you must be so proud.

That's horrible about the parvo, that disease is just evil. Hopefully you killed any trace of it in your home. Has the kid brought the APBT pups to the vet?

Unbelievable the irresponsibility of some people :yikes:

Keep us posted, hopefully they should be fine with two vaccines.

OMG! How scary about the sick puppy and the possible parvo! I would be super paranoid, but I am sure your pups will be ok. They are in the best care.

I'll think good thoughts for Toby. He'll be in my neck of the woods soon and I can't wait to see him in the ring!
