Our fireworks are on the 3rd. The weather looks good, so around 6 pm myself, my parents, and a group of my friends will take off in the sailboat. Have a good trip around the lake, anchor off of Burlington, and eat until we want to be sick:D . We'll stay out for the fireworks and then get eaten alive by mosquitos while motoring back to the shipyard.

On the 4th, I'll wake up and go to work like always.

We open up our mountain to the neighbors all the food, drink, horses, bulls, clams, steak, shrimp, smores you can eat for 1 whole week starting this Wed. through Monday. We have scouting hunts with dogs and horse and rider, rings of fire, Indian chants, jewlery making fresh from the mountain, arrowhead contest, we even greased a pig or two for the rebels to catch. :yikes:
This year we greased up the cannons our forfathers from the Civil and Revolution wars over the years. :D A friend says they are all live, so we will have a testing contest for 100 plus year old heirlooms to see if they fire.
The only thing asked is to bring a coverd dish and your favorite flag. Camper parking is 10.00 for the week. Horses 5.00 to be free range for the week.
Bring your own fireworks.
I can't wait to see if Old Glory, Jake, Ehawee and the kids fire.

Ohh and of course swimming in the mountain spring. No olympic pool on the mountain. LOL Darn it.

I don't think I'll be doing anything on the 4th, my family was at our cabin this weekend and that was enough of a celebration for me lol. We had awesome fireworks, only one of the fireworks was somehow messed up and shot *towards* us so we all had to go running for safety. :yikes:

I have no idea. I doubt anything too special. I'll probably just hang out and watch movies.

Hehe, Renee. Hope it works ;)

Yeah, nothing too special here either...sadly. I love having big parties on the 4th. But were just going to cookout then go to the lake and watch the fireworks. Since it's too dry to do any here *pouts*

Maybe watch fireworks, and meet up with a few friends for some fun. If the Wardens will let me out of the house. So much for independence day, eh?

I haven't seen fireworks since I was about 12. I really wanted to go with friends and Dustin this year.. but that never worked out. No fireworks, no swimming, no party, no cookouts for me. :(

Maybe next year.

The family is all coming over to my house [which means... we're cleaning today, yuck.]... we'll stuff our faces with food, sit around, and chat. Then, we'll go watch fireworks. :)

I envy those of you who can launch your own fireworks! It's illegal in Arizona, so nobody sells them. :(

Its only legal here in certain areas, but see as how we are on our 20th day of straight rain, I doubt will even take the effort to go buy some.
