1st Doc's Appt!

Ahh the continuing saga!

So today was our first actual doc's appt and we got to hear the heartbeat! Yea! It's just so weird! I can't believe it's happening yet. Ha ha ha! Doc says the morning sickness is actually a good sign that means the pregnancy is moving along nicely. The heartbeat was at 180 which for 11wks he said was normal and will come down to somewhere between 120-170 in the next few weeks. We won't have ultrasound pictures until our appt in July I imagine.


Just so weird... something living inside me... hee hee hee!!!

I remember when I was pregnant. I went in and they "thought" I was 11 weeks and when the doctor tried to listen to the heart beat, she couldnt find it so she did a quick ultrasound and you could see just barely see the baby, it looked like a peanut only smaller. so everything turned out alright, i just wasnt as far along as they had thought. I remember leaving the doctor and calling my mom becuase I wanted to show her the picture, well she was at the grocery store so I went to the grocery store to show her the picture. There we were in the middle of the freakin grocery store crying and rubbing my tummy!

Awe that's so cute Mayasmydobe! I was kinda hoping they couldn't find it so I could take a picture home but then there it was strong as an ox!

well, it scared me when they couldnt find it. the doctor just stood there with the listener thingy on my tummy with this really serious look on her face for what seemed like forever! I was like " what the heck is going on? whats wrong with my baby?!?!?!?!?!" then she explained that she couldnt hear it but she wanted to try the ultrasound becuase we werent exactly sure of my date of conception.

I really don't know if I'm happy or sad that this technology wasn't available to me . Nash's Mommy went in for a routine at about 3 mos and there was no heartbeat ..... the first ultrasound was great !! I really wonder how many babies I lost . I know that I lost a grandson .... it hurts because I know it hurts them .

So sorry to hear that Grammy. My cousin lost her first and I know she was really excited about it. I couldn't even imagine how terrible that must feel.

I was told that the first ultrasound for me is going to be probably sometime in July. So I have a ways to go but I'm almost over the 3mo hump! So far things have been staying down this morning I just hope it keeps up and I finally get a day of reprieve. How nice would that be... *dreaming*
