    Dog Birthday Cake..

I can honestly say I've near heard of, or seen a dog birthday cake. Thank you very much for the recipe MicksMom. My moms pug's 15 year old birthday is just around the corner.

Do you go through phases where you just CRAVE a certain dog breed?

I am absolutely obsessed with Asian Breeds. I've had sharpei's , Pugs, and Japanese chins. I have to admit that the King Charles Cavalier is giving them a run for their money, especially since the wife has been pushing for one.

In defense of the client's right to say 'No'

I am so blessed to have been mentored and employed by veterinarians that truly care about about their clients. The veterinarian I am referring to IS a surgeon that performs the TPLO surgeries. He always recommends it to clients as a last resort, and gives them all the details and statistics...

    "Teachers" using dogs against kids

I can't believe that teachers would actually do this. It is surreal. As a side note, I agree with the above posts that it would actually encourage me to go to school lol... I don't mean to make light of the situation.

    The Dog Breed Dictionary

Today, I have a very important update. The death of a friends beloved canine drove me to create an online dog memorial section where visitors can dedicate a page to their best friend. They can remember them however they would like, via a story or poem. I have even added functionality for a...

    Lucy's Dog House

Hello There, Remember me? I have kept adding content and have kept building my site on dog breeds because I took your advice about not giving up to heart. I expect that within the next year or so I will be able to join your affiliate program and drive quality traffic to you. I've seen a...

    The Dog Breed Dictionary

Thank you very much hanslynch! I really appreciate it. I was really starting to lose heart and the will to continue adding more pages. I have another 7 days until school starts, and I'll be sure to get as many pages done as possible!

    Worming Side Effects???

It really is hard to say, I am not familiar with drontal k-9. The only dewormer I am familiar with for puppies is Strongid (spelling?). Soft stool is a common side effect of deworming, but that may not be the case necessarily. For whatever reason "common" or "normal" in veterinary medicine is...

How do vets diagnose tendon/ligament injuries

The problem with ultrasound is that there is a very steep learning curve. They would need to perform and interpret 50 or so odd ultrasounds a day to be good at what they do, and even then I've seen ultrasound specialists fail to even correctly count the number of puppies a bitch is carrying...

How do vets diagnose tendon/ligament injuries

The best way to diagnose it is by trial and error. To rule out what it is not first. A pretty good indicator of whether there may or may not be a problem has to do with range of motion. Vets will move / rotate / manipulate areas to get a better feel of what the problem is. Then they will have...

Inexpensive ways to market your website

It is not "e-commerce" ready. The concept behind is that you first write a full site with your knowledge of a subject, and only when you have a fair amount of daily traffic do you try to monetize. I am not so sure that it is the easiest solution for hard goods sellers. I was first drawn to the...

Inexpensive ways to market your website

I've had a lot of success using Sitebuildit. People are put off by the price of it, but the results are real. I'm extremely happy with them as hosts, and the fact that I've been able to build websites with no training in HTML, SEO or anything is great. The community of webmasters is...

    The Dog Breed Dictionary

Thanks guys. I was starting to get depressed with how things were turning out. I've been trying to teach myself a little .css so that I can give it a more refined look, but that may have to be put off until next summer. I'm doing the best I can, so I guess I should take comfort in that...

    Little guy got neutered

It would be safe to visit the vet just to make sure everything looks alright. As someone else has already suggested, some dogs will whine and cry as a reaction to anesthesia. It is pretty common. If he is crying 24 hours after the surgery, then something else may be bothering him :/

    Sienna's toe nail update

It isn't common, but cancer is a possibility. I'll keep my fingers crossed for Sienna. I hope everything turns out for the best. Keep us updated

    My Intro!

Thanks! I love the little guys. The pug on the left named Holly, as you might have been able to tell from the picture, is the boss. The pug on the right named Reggie is just an old soul. The sweetest dog ever!

    Flea trouble

Endurancemom, The shampoo, like you said, will work wonders; however, there is one little aspect some pet owners might overlook. The fleas will just jump off, and patiently wait for their chance to jump back on your pet. The same can be said for flea collars. They work for the the...

    Nail Clipping

good tips on the dremel. I've found that dogs hate the noise more than anything with a nail trim as well. I really hate to restrain some of the more agitated dogs. Makes me feel mean, but I guess it has to be done.
