For the past two days my dogs stool has been black liquidy style. His diet did change a bit, he has been eating a lot more raw muscle meat then usual. When he was a puppy when i used to feed him muscle meat (example raw steak) his stool used to resemble this but since i started feeding him more...

I've been looking for green tripe but haven't been able to find any yet. I did find white tripe at the super market. Now i know it doesn't have as much nutritional value as green tripe but is it still good for my dog? I gave him some today and he seemed to like it a lot. But then I through it...

yes i took him to the vet. he said my dog is very active and energetic so he is fine. my dog only gets black stool when i feed him a lot of meat without bone. when he was a puppy i used to feed him just steak thinking it was good but his stool used to be always black and soft. users here...

hmm that is an idea. what about his bone intake? would i for example give him mush to eat for lunch and then for dinner a sheep neck?

ok was just checking http://www.greentripe.com/ seems my supermarket sells the white tripe which is bleeched and has no nutrional value. I need to find a place that sells green tripe

tripe is cows stomach or something right? My breeder originally told me to feed my dog that but it just seemed really gross. Is there a difference between green tripe and regular tripe or are they the same thing? Do I have my butcher ground it up?

thats a meal? you see there is definitely something wrong with my diet. my dog is around 42 pounds. Most of his meals are around 1.1 pound in weight. That comes out to for example 2 lamb necks. which is all he would eat all day. Next day for example he would eat around 1.1 pound of drumsticks...

thanks. well vet also said its nothing serious since my dog was extremely active and energetic. he didn't tell me what it could have been from but gave my dog an injection and told me not to feed him or give him anything to drink for 12 hours. He told me most of the time problems like this work...
