A true hero!!!! Frisky 3 days after surgery repairing her leg and paw that was broken,totally degloved elbow down and split from an illegal trap that was set on a trail behind our house in St.Catharines. We were enjoying a nice day outside when one of our twins headed off the direct path going down the twelve mile river behind the ravine , behind our house and Frisk kept on knocking her over and then running around her. We thought she was just being silly and went to put her on her lead for a few moments when she tore away from me and knocked Cailee over very roughly! The next thing we heard was a loud yelp and a horrible snap! Frisky had put herself in the way so Cailee wouldn't get the trap. She almost died from blood loss on the way to the emerg clinic but made it through the 6 1/2 hr surgery. After almost an 8 week recovery Frisky was as frisky as ever and has full use of her leg and paw! She is a sprotective as ever of our children in a motherly way and won't let Cailee out of her sight when around. I know that to this day she would throw herself in the path of danger for all of us. We love our little hero and will spoil her rotten until the day that God calls her back to be His once again.
